16. + 17.04.2012 Leipzig (D) - Conferences & Graffiti Workshops

Arrival in Leipzig: Thanks to Maxi Kretzschmar (IBuG) and the crew of Heizhaus e.V. for a great exchange.

CREN: In Leipzig we met local graffiti artists to paint a mural dedicated to the sister-city relationship between "Leipzig & Nanjing". We had a relaxed day while painting most of the day and met many local artists who stepped by.

CREN: The final wall on the tour ! MO travelled from Berlin to Leipzig to support us. Together with FRIENDLY he painted the "dragons".

SCAR: Maxi from Leipzig organized a small workshop for us where we shared our knowledge about Graffiti & Chinese calligraphy. Not only young people joined our interaction in the local Konfuzius-Institute. It was a colorful group and we had a really good time!

14.04.2012 Leverkusen (D) - Skate & Graffiti Jam, Tunnel Painting

The organizers of the Skate & Graffiti Jam in Leverkusen get permission from the German DB train authority to design this long tunnel.

DICKID: We joined the event BRENNPUNKT JAM - a free Graffiti & Skate Jam which was organized local Graffiti artists and the local HAUS DER JUGEND - Opladen. Here came many Graffiti artists from different cities together to design some public walls that the German DB (Deutsche Bahn) gave for the event for free painting. Some togetherwith our German friends we made many new contacts and friendships. Thanks to Carsten Klein and Rüdiger Porsch who helped us to be part of this great event.

SCAR: FRIENDLY painted a concept wall, inspired by famous "German sweets" like "Haribo" which are quite popular in Hong Kong

13. + 15.04.2012 Köln / Cologne (D) - Conference & Graffiti Painting @ Mittwochsmaler

Back in Germany we visit the "Mittwochsmaler" (SKM e.V.) in Cologne. started with a Black Book Session at Dedicated Store, two days later we finish with a great Block Party at Alte Feuerwache.

AND C: In Cologne we met together with people from the international department of Cologne City and invited them to our events.We discussed also a participation of Beijing Hip Hop artists for a German-Chinese Festival in Cologne later that year; which did not work out. After we get a bunch of shirts we visited the "Kölner Dom"; a huge cathedral in the middle of the city - and then made a small city tour.

In Cologne we visited Doreen (formerly Culture Team - German Pavilion @ EXPO Shanghai) who works now for the City of Cologne... for the China Year 2012 ! ...and get a bunch of bags and t-shirts...

...after the Block-Party with a big Graffiti session we recorded even a music video for a local Rap artists !

WOK: Here we are with some of the participants of the Graffiti Jam in Cologne: young graffiti artists from China, Germany, The Netherlands having a great day; incl. painting walls together, a small music clip production, some free workshops, some b-boy action and music performances.

DICKID: The final shot in front of our painted wall. Soon later we continued our Germany tour...

12.04.2012 Den Haag (NL) - Conference, Meet & Greet

SCAR: Flying in the Air !!! :)

AKIM: The Hip Hop Huis and Daniel from Graffiti Netwerk NL organized a trip to Den Haag to visit the local Hip Hop Center. It was a great experience and it was interesting to see how successful the organizers of this center create even with small budgets a great program for the kids. They had rooms for dancing, DJing and a gallery and workroom for graffiti. The managers of this Center grew also up with Hip Hop Culture so I guess there is the difference compared to regular Youth Center.

06. - 08.04.2012 Wiesbaden (D) - Hip Hop Academy & Meeting of Styles

A warm welcome in the Wiesbaden City Hall; the EU-CN Crew with youngsters from Wiesbaden & Hengelo.

威斯巴登熱烈的歡迎我們; EU-CN團隊及來自威斯巴登和亨厄洛的年輕人

AKIM: Our local partners Kontekst e.V. organized a heartily welcome event in the City Hall. The head of this department held a welcome speech and after that there was several performances by local youth groups. Our Chinese guests also get a welcome-gift.

We supported the Wiesbaden Hip Hop Akademie and had a great time.

DICKID: That was pure fun ! We got invited to be part of the Hip Hop Academy and did workshops together with young participants from Germany and the Netherlands. Some of the kids were very young but really dedicated. In my Graffiti workshop they produced some "Eastern-gifts" for their parents. Akim even brought stencils that were used in our program at the German Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. 

FRIENDLY: Together with Maxi I held and workshop with Chinese calligraphy.

DICKID: After our conference about youth culture I do a presentation about Hip Hop culture in China and also speak about my city Guang Zhou.

DICKID: Me with a young guy who was part of my Graffiti workshop and a young MC (rapper) from Hengelo... The painted wood-board was a present for the kids mom.

SCAR: The youth center "Kontekt" is a place where the local Hip Hop and Graffiti community meets. Manuel Gerullis, the organizer of the MEETING OF STYLES, runs this place. He asked us if we can leave some paintings together with local graffiti artists.

AND C: This was a great day ! We met so many Hip Hop people and the whole day there was music, breakdance training, painting and discussions. I wished we had a place like this in Beijing !!!

AKIM: Many B-Boys & B-Girls from Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Mainz joined this free event and showed their skills....

DOUBLE D: In teh evening we rocked a pure Hip Hop party and my friends from Offenbach - the rap crew OHNE FRONTEN - gave a free concert. Our local youth department supported us, that we could go together with 16 people in two busses to join this event ! Thanks Michel & Crew !!"

WOK: Before we had to drive to Hengelo in Holland, we painted this long wall with GIORGIO from Karlsruhe, SONNY T from Hamburg and local graffiti artists.

Young artists from Karlsruhe, Guang Zhou, Dresden, Xi‘an, Hamburg & Hong Kong, and Beijing on one wall !

FRIENDLY: A group picture - dedicated to Hong Kong & Hamburg. I painted this wall with JASE (Sonny T).                       He is a very famous Graffiti artist and B-Boy. He does a lot of creative youth working and came from Hamburg with some young dancers. Those kids really liked to paint graffiti for the first time ...and they learned pretty fast.

The Hamburg Crew (B-Boy Sonny T & his Breakdance kids) leaves soon after back to their city; the EU-CN Crew leaves to Hengelo!
